Bad cops: good stories
Here’s a list of ten novels about corrupt cops, greed and general badness by the boys in blue.
The list is compiled by Adrian McKinty whose own Sean Duffy is not exactly bad … more a wee bit naughty (and well worth a read, by the way).
Here’s the naked, unadorned list. But Adrian’s piece has an introduction to each book, to help you decide where to start. If you want my advice, I’d kick off with The Choirboys. Or maybe The Force. Or maybe…oh, I don’t know. Away and decide for yourselves!
Philip K. Dick, A Scanner Darkly
Maxine Paetro and James Patterson, 11th Hour
David Peace, 1977
Unity Dow, Heavens May Fall
